Happy Wednesday, Time for sloths wednesday walk post!
Making the most of a break in the miserable weather over the last few days (and again tonight) I managed to get out for a few miles with the dog this morning. First stop, the beach!
Just over 13K steps today, a few more to go before bedtime, not a strenuous day but I got in a couple of nice walks!
Nothing better than wandering along the sand with the sun beating down, past the castle and along some of the "ancient defences" of the Scottish coast! There's some super interesting history attached to so much of Scotland! I'll let you "discover scotland" yourselves!
We continued walking along the beach, past the park until we came to the spooky cave! On approach, it looked like a black hole in to the abyss! Would we make it to the other side? Or was there a great adventure waiting within!
Tentatively walking towards the dark opening, heart pounding, sweat beading on my head. We reached the cave entrance, and we entered!!
Even this close it looked like it went for miles into the mountain! I was sure I was going to encounter some goblins or orcs before i reached the other side! Let's hope Gandalf is there to light the way with his staff!
Hurrar! Light in the distance, we speed up, almost running towards the light!
FINALLY!
We made! After what felt link an eternity trapped in darkness, we broke through to the other side, sunlight gracing my face once more!
In reality, it was about 30 feet long, and I was through in about 5 seconds, but, it doesn't have the same theatrical feel! So we pretend we were back on the great adventure!
Funny side note, as we approached the end of the passageway, a woman rounded the corner, and we both got a little fright!
No idea what happened to the dog in this picture, clearly not his "good side".
A quick lap of the Harbour and we headed back home for the morning! A couple more walks later and we're here 13500 steps so far! Almost bed time! So, until next time Sloth out!
