The 5AM club - Finding the motivation to win your day!

Have you heard of the concept of the 5 am club?
The concept of the 5am Club is a simple one to get your head around. You rise at the ungodly hour of 5am whilst the rest of your household is sound asleep, all in the name of productivity and distraction-free self-development. During this time, you follow the 20/20/20 rule of twenty minutes of exercise, twenty minutes of planning or journaling and twenty minutes of study, supposedly setting you up for a smashing day ahead.
So, that's the jist of it! Get yourself up at 5am, and give yourself a good shake! Do a quick exercise routine, have some quiet time to think/plan your day ahead, set some goals and smash the rest of your day!

This is something I tried to do whilst working a full-time job and cryptoing as a hobby, it gave me some early morning time to get ahead of the day and I believe it actually helped me achieve more! Over the last couple of years, I've found myself in a bit more of a slump, but I've been slothly trying to pull myself out of it!
Now, how long will I keep up with this new improved 5am club sloth? Who knows, I didn't actually plan on beginning it here and now, yet over the last couple of days my body has been waking up early and nudging me to get on with the day! Normally I find it easy enough to roll over and fall back asleep. Like any good sloth, I can normally sleep for 12-14 hours without much hassle! Although it's recommended we get around 7 hours sleep as an 'ideal amount'. Funnily enough, I hit the hay about 11pm last night so I was close enough to those perfect 7 hours!
So my plan for this morning, I've smashed a quick exercise, not quite the 20 minutes recommended, but, as a first attempt I managed about 10mins. Thought I would get a quick blog post done, we'll call that journalling, then I'm going to take the doggo out for a short walk to get some fresh air and embrace the morning! Feels like a good enough start for an impromptu 5am club!

My head is already spinning with new ideas for what I want to achieve, so I'm going to try to get some of those down on paper and push forward with them over the coming months! Who knows, I might even shake some buzz out of myself and join a gym, I won't be holding my breath on that one though!
