What the Duck?! Two 8 mile walks in a week for a sloth!

Good afternoon Walkers, it's Hump day, the best day for a walk! I actually smashed two 8 mile walks this week, hitting over 16,000 steps each time, slothlyoverdoesit! At least I'll sleep like a baby sloth tonight!

I thought I would combine both walks into one post. I just love the excuse to take more pictures whilst out walking! I've got some great images to share including these...Ducks? Ferns? Seagulls? Are they a goldeneye, a bufflehead or a tufted duck? Round 1! What the Duck?

Whilst we're asking what the duck? What's this black bird perched by the ocean? Cormorant or Shag? I'm sure there are a few #featherfriends on hive who'll know these in a heartbeat! Round 2 What the Duck?

Both of these sightings were from my second walk of the week earlier today. Heading along the coast, first I travelled to the nearest city with the intention of doing a spot of shopping and taking the dog for a quick walk around the park. We got walking and the buzz got the better of me, rounding the coastal path I noticed a village up the coast. So a couple of miles later we arrived at this mysterious fairy village!

We actually went to a small coastal village that I've never been to before. The village itself was a little 'out the way' and you could see it was still perishing from the last couple of years of lockdowns! However, this cool little fairy village was just before the small harbour, and there was mention of a 'van lady' that used to reside there! Interesting little place! I'm sure kids will love letting their imaginations run wild with the fairies!

On my first walk of the week on Monday, the sun was shining so we took the opportunity to walk up the back of the loch and through the neighbouring farmland! Taking a new route we ended up spending a beautiful day with some beautiful scenery! Passing fields, forests, ponds and lochs! Before finally rejoining the coastal path a couple of miles from home and heading back!

Is anyone interested in a last round of What the Duck? Ok, this one isn't even a seabird, in fact, it's one I know rather well! Having spent many years driving around the country, these were a Van favourite! Not the best image at all, but for a change they were away from the road!
So Round 3, What the duck? I look forward to your 3 answers!

A couple more images to finish up and we'll call this walk a wrap! a new found pond at the back of a farmhouse, there were some swans in the pond, but there're far too far away to participate in What this duck!

Finally, it was nice to Seal you! I look forward to some of the other Wednesday Walk posts coming this week! Until next time.

Sloth out!
